

The Changemakers Quest was a success, achieving its primary goal of driving footfall across key exhibition booths and zones. The experience garnered over 6,000+ views, with strong participation throughout the event.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Participants shared that the quest encouraged them to explore booths they might have otherwise overlooked, sparking meaningful discoveries and conversations. The activities were perceived as engaging, relevant, and thoughtfully aligned with each booth’s theme- making the overall experience both purposeful and enjoyable.
In addition to the initial token, users could collect four other POAPs through a variety of interactive tasks. These experiences ranged from quizzes and scavenger hunts to holographic messages and immersive 3D visual interactions, each designed to keep the journey engaging and dynamic.
Upon collecting all the badges, users unlocked access to the Rewards section within the Quest web app. Here, they could redeem benefits such as exclusive merchandise and entry into a raffle draw. Completing the full quest also granted users a special Changemakers of Tomorrow 2024 POAP, which served as a commemorative digital collectible that could be shared on social media.

Changemakers Quest was a project I led during my time at Shell. It was designed as a timed activation for the Changemakers of Tomorrow 2024 event, hosted by Shell.ai. The experience was built using 8th Wall as the AR platform, and incorporated a Web3 layer in collaboration with the POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) team, who issued digital badges as collectible certificates to commemorate participation.
The journey began within the Changemakers of Tomorrow app, where users encountered a banner inviting them to start the AR quest and win exclusive prizes. Tapping the banner redirected them to a web-based app that displayed the collection of digital tokens (POAPs) available to earn. Users could select a token they wished to collect, with each badge linked to a specific booth location at the event. Upon reaching the booth, they would launch the AR experience through the web app. The experience prompted users to scan an image target seamlessly embedded within the physical environment. Once scanned, the AR interaction was triggered.
After successfully completing the activity, users were rewarded with the corresponding POAP, marking their progress in the quest.
